This has happened on a couple of Seagate drives on various machines of mine (MBPro, DUAL QUAD) .. and more recently, on my iMac 27 with a brand new 3T Mini Stack. (3rd time in less than 3 months).  In fact, it happened 3 days ago. I reformatted, created a brand new backup. Now tonight, once again. Clues as to what causes this? K |
