Agreed that the new iWork (all three products) are awful and bungled badly. I don't have a good alternative, but I've decided to give Apple one more chance to get it right. They left out critical features, but do plan on adding back many of them. The list is here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6049 I am hoping that there will be usage improvements also. Or I'll be looking for the recommendations you are seeking here.
