You won't have to worry about anything. I did this between my phone/iPad (my 
Apple ID) and my wife's iPad (separate Apple ID). No problems at all. We had 
our own Apple IDs from before we were married, before we even met, and now it's 
nice that we don't have to pay twice to both use the same app.

None of her apps or data were lost.
