Nothing is so stupid as to not be believed by someone, somewhere. Computers are FILLED with DRM shit for vide, which is why, for example, some older monitors do not work when trying to watch DVDs or BDs. I can’t think o any reason that 4K video would be any different than any other video in this respect, but sure, it could be.
