I have a home folder for a user that I’d like to move onto an iMac running
Yosemite that currently does not host this user, but does host a few other
users.

What’s the best way to do this so that the copied home folder has all the
correct permissions?

Do I first create the user on Yosemite, then copy the home folder into the
/Users folder, then open the System Prefs and change the location of the user’s
home folder to the newly copied home folder? Or is there a simpler and better
way?

Thanks,
Kevin
