Thanks for sharing, Scot. I take this as another illustration of just how bad
of a godawful mess that iTunes has turned into. I find the program confusing
for even the simplest of tasks.
I used to wish Apple would start over and redesign it. Their recent efforts in
that vein remind me to be careful what I wish for; I suspect any rewrite would
drop the ability to rip and burn CDs, probably among other things.
IMHO, the OS X platform as a whole is becoming less appealing for reasons like
this, I am sorry to say. Far too much carelessness and inconsistent design.
