Dunno. I have the sidebar and toolbar turned on. If I turn OFF the toolbar, then command-F opens a new window, but so does opt-command-F. > Are there command line only Finder settings ? There are a lot of default write commands that change finder behaviors (show hidden files used to be a defaults write command, for example).
