Recovery Partitions don't just come on factory machines — the Lion (I think) upgrade, added (or attempted to add) a recovery partition to existing Macs, and would complain if it couldn't. (There were a couple fixes one could try, like slightly reducing the size of the boot partition and trying again.) From what I understand, the retrofit worked on almost all Macs that hadn't previously been subjected to "clever" modifications (like splitting off a partition, etc.) _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
