Sorry I think I missed the point. The drafts are set to the upper part of the drop down which is “INBOX/Drafts” as distinct from “On My Mac”. The only “drafts folders' - icon of a doc with turned over corner - that I can see are in the server part of Mail, not in the On My Mac section. >> But that doesn't answer the question of who your mail service provider is, >> or if there is commonality between "mydomain" and "myisp". “mydomain" is my own and is at a hosting co controlled via Cpanel. “myisp” is the DSL service provider who also offer their own mail service. This latter one is only used as a backup. >> This suggests you have direct access to mail service provider's server, >> further suggesting you _know_ then answer to the previous question but >> omitted it for some reason. Apologies as I think I’ve been misunderstanding how Mail.app works. My thinking was that stuff is done on the desktop machine and replicated back to the server but in fact it’s the other way round - stuff on the server is copied to the desktop machine. Must have been in lockdown too long and it’s starting to get to me. > How Apple's Mail application works with drafts will probably be influenced by > how the preference is set for the account, which is why two previous replies > have asked about it. I get the feeling that it would be better to alter prefs to have drafts held "On my Mac” rather than the server. If I’m right that way they exist in only one place. Sorry for the confusion - entirely my fault.
