I’ve done dozens of post-mid2011 21.5” an 27” iMacs (thin edges, no optical 
drive) and all of them used double-sided tape to connect the fused glass 
display to the iMac’s aluminum frame.

We’re not discussing a difference between “foam tape” and double-sided tape 
without foam in between its adhesive sides, are we?

Because if the display is not attached to the aluminum frame with double sided 
VHB style tape, how does the display keep from falling off? There are not 
screws or brackets to hold it in place.
