Is there a way on Big Sur to access the topmost physical disk of an APFS drive?
I have a 1TB external LaCie APFS-formatted USB SSD drive.
When I mount the drive on a pre-APFS Sierra 10.12 system, I can see the
protected APFS "Container" folder, which I can't enter into (which is
expected). But it does allow me to copy files onto what I assume is the topmost
"physical disk".
However, when bringing the drive over to a Big Sur 11.4 system, I can't find
those files anywhere.
Using diskutil it appears the topmost "physical disk" would be disk2, but it
doesn't show up as mounted. Is there a way to access it?
