hi and axpoint

Hi everybody!

My name is Marco Baroni, and I am new to this list -- as a matter of fact, I am new to this sort of technical lists in general, so forgive me if my questions will sound naive...

'Nyway: I've been trying to install axpoint on os 10.2, as in:

[Marco-Baronis-Computer:~] marco% perl -MCPAN -e shell
cpan> install XML::Handler::AxPoint

but the installation failed.

I saw that there was a discussion about this on this list a while ago, but it seems to me that, in the end, no *final* solution was proposed.

In particular, I followed the suggestions regarding the Makefile of Text::Iconv that I found in the message http:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg04392.html, but that didn't help (it didn't even help wrt to Text::Iconv, which still cannot find the libiconv, despite the fact that I did get it via fink, and that I do keep the fink stuff in /sw...)

So, I was wondering if somebody did a succesful axpoint install, and, in that case, what was the procedure (I have perl5.8.0 on Jaguar...)
