I downloaded and installed perl 5.8.2 on my OS X machine -- every make
test passed, no complaints during the install. Typing "perl -v" shows
5.8.2 (not the 5.8.1-RC3 that shipped with this version of OS X).
However, I can't get CPAN to work.
The first time I tried to use CPAN, I was able to enter the cpan shell
and go through the configuration steps. But when I tried to install
Bundle::CPAN, the shell told me that it was unable to install several
modules.
Each time after that I have tried to use the cpan shell ("sudo perl
-MCPAN -e shell") I have received the following output below.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
