Hi all,

to keep us up to date, I've just finished the work on a Mac build of
the Date::Calc 5.0 module for both the PPC and the CFM68K
architecture. All tests passed on both my PPC Mac and my 68K Mac. If
there are any problems, please let me know. However, please note that
this module is still beta (some work needs to be done), so you may
want to stick with the former version 4.3. Steffen Beyer, the author
of Date::Calc, runs a website at [1].

Currently, you can download the ported module and the readme from my
website via:

http://usemacperl.webjump.com/index.html

or direct:

Some modules of the Date::Calc 5.0 distribution require the
Bit::Vector module (also written by Steffen Beyer), version 5.7 or
higher. Unfortunately, Arved Sandstrom's port is only at 5.6. Thus
I've also ported the most recent version of Bit::Vector, version 6.0,
to Mac OS for both the PPC and the CFM68K architecture. All tests
(67,255 ! :-P , is there a upper limit for tests? ;-) passed on both
my PPC Mac and my 68K Mac. If there are any problems, please let me
know.

I'd like to maintain this module until Arved is back on the Mac.

You can download the ported module and the readme from my website via:

Enjoy.

Best regards,
