Yes. In fact even IE 5.5 will occasionally trip up on a hex entity and convert &#x...
to &... -- perhaps only one or two in a 100K file, but enough to be a pest. I have
since changed all the hex entities in my tables to decimal and not had a problem
since. Pity, because hex entities are so much easier to deal with.
I've given up altogether bothering with Netscape. The latest versions on both Mac and
Windows are so appallingly slow and bad that I figure anyone with the perversity to
use them must want a hard life anyway. iCab behaves well in this regard, but you have
to pay the high price of no styles and all its other problems. Opera does not
understand anything to do with Unicode so far as I can see.
