Well, what can I say: I've read all the manual pages that I could find, the
Programming Perl book, the answers I got and ... now it seems to work.

I can't say that I understand why it didn't work but at least I think I
understand how it works.

Well, when (should I say 'if' 8-) I truly understand how this works I promise to
volunteer to module testing for the next version of MacPerl 8-)
