Well, I've been a UNIX perl user for a while, and figured BW-WHOIS was as
good as any to try out on my newly installed MacPerl.  I wanted something
that used a few different networking services, etc.

\n and \r\n I think.  \r doesn't work either, and seems to fail earlier on.

Ahhhh.  I assume this was done for expedience with file i/o stuff?  Is \r
then \012?  (No wonder people specify these things in octal!)
