you were perfectly right Jim though I wasn't asking about time() or
localtime() :-), had I done this I would've got half the answer to my
question, instead I

this being one of the few times the Camel says less than the PODs, in
either case I can only presume as to why truncating as in 'rounding down'
wasn't seen as being necessary or useful enough to implement.
