"ClassicMacPerl" would be redundant. "MacPerl" does not mean "perl on Mac
OS." "MacPerl" is the name of the port of perl that runs on Classic Mac
OS. I can understand how someone might make the mistake. I'll get the
descriptions changed on http://lists.perl.org/, which should help some.
I think a [EMAIL PROTECTED] list would be a good thing; someone just needs to
take the initiative to contact Ask Hansen at [EMAIL PROTECTED] to get it
set up. We could have the list running within a day or two, probably. Let
me know about it and I'll subscribe to it and post it on
http://use.perl.org/.
I did not intend to denigrate you or Mac OS X or anything else; I am just
trying to keep the posts on this list constrained to the specific topic for
which it is intended.
