Dear All,
So, as some of you know, I finished that proxy server thing I was
writing, though I'm still putting final touches on it. I was looking
through the listserve archives for a solution to the "Quit and abort"
dialog box that gets displayed when you try to quit. The stuff I saw
consisted of an appleevent handler to catch the quit and stop and quit the
script yourself. That was my first idea, too.
Here is what I did, though: I loaded up ResEdit, opened the ALRT, DITL,
and hdlg resources, went to get info on all the ID #266 resources, and
changed the id to 2661. I tested it a bunch, and it seems to work fine
without errors or crashing. I'm so glad that box is gone.
So, was this a good idea or not, and is there a better way?
Thanks again.
- Adam
P.S. To the people who e-mailed me about getting the code, or those who
want it, as soon as I complete all the finishing touches, I'll send it
right over.
