[MacPerl] can MacPerl do ftp?

Hi all,

I searched the cpan archives and found Net::FTP. I need to ftp a file from a
server every Monday morning. This is currently being done with an AppleScript
that is using AppleTalk. We will be losing AppleTalk in a few months and need to
change the AppleTalk protocol to FTP. Can someone tell me how I can do this in
MacPerl? If MacPerl can't do it, I could always applescript Fetch. Actually, I
should be doing this with a secure ftp client.

Any advice on this?
