[MacPerl] MacPerl and Unicode

Hi, I'm a beginner.

I'd like to know if there is a way to implement unicode in my scripts. The 
utf8 module seems unavailable in my version of MP. I'd be delighted to learn 
how to create a list of encoded characters like @list = (\x{03B2},\x{03BC}) 
but it doesn't work.  The best thing would be to create a list by range of 
characters.
