Well, to do it for 5.2.0r4, the best way is to install cpan-mac, download
the distribution of TimeDate, and drop it on "installme".

Same thing for 5.6.1r1, except that you don't need to install cpan-mac.

5.6.1r1 will not be significantly different from 5.2.0r4.  There will be
very few differences, and no real important ones.  And you can just run the
updater to get the new version anyway.  So I'd say just install 5.6.1b4 now
if you want to start using 5.6.1.

It works fine on any MacPerl 5.n.nr4 or on 5.6.1.
