We use Macperl for harvesting metadata from AIFF sound file headers,
transforming Sonic Solutions Log files into printable labels for the
trays of CDR's and tapes, automating the creation of real audio
files, generating checksums to name just a few.

I have written a couple of Macperl runtimes that have small GUI's
that include windows, menus, progress bars etc..., the checksum
generator being the latest. I could share that with you if you are
interested.
