DBI 1.28 and XML::Parser 2.31 are now available for MacPerl 5.6.1.
XML::Parser 2.31 is based on the most recent expat 1.95.3, James
Clark's C library for parsing XML. Note that these modules are NOT
binary compatible with MacPerl 5.8.0 (nor 5.20r4).
You can download the "XML-Parser-2.31-bin56Mac.tgz" and the
"DBI-1.28-bin56Mac.tar.gz" tarballs from my CPAN directory
$CPAN/authors/id/T/TW/TWEGNER/
Btw, for you C hackers, I've made expat 1.95.3 for Mac OS Classic
available separately from my website. Note that you will need a C
compiler to build the library; an instruction worksheet for MPW's MrC
is included. The expat-1.95.3_Mac.tar.gz tarball (that's the original
distribution plus Mac stuff) may be found at
