As already discussed in the MacPorts-Users list and as described in
ticket #11006, the ruby Portfile has unnecessary dependencies: having
the whole Tcl/Tk/X11 bloatware as default requirements is slightly
over the top, imho :)
I have attached a patch for the Portfile to the ticket, which move
the 'tcl' and 'tk' ports dependencies to a 'tk' variant and disable
the ruby 'tk' extension by default and enable it in the 'tk' variant.
