maybe. maybe not. rather not. i've updated[1] the port to 2.3.2.
there's no test suite so i can't be sure it works correctly (feel
free to tell me if it doesn't), but it should (trivial version
bump, even the patches still work).

There was a ticket open about this. I had not upgraded the port
because I had some concerns, which are explained in the ticket:
