How do I go about making determining if this is an appropriate fix, and if so, making it permanent?

As the subject says, this port ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) fails with
+universal. After some troubleshooting, I determined that the
included libtool is at fault. I replaced it with one I snatched from
[EMAIL PROTECTED], and was able to get a succesful universal build.
