I just had to use the line
configure.cflags-append -I${prefix}/include
to get the freeradius port to build. I had thought the default CFLAGS
included that path, but it appears it isn't by looking at the debug
output. Can anyone explain this?

-I things are CPPFLAGS, but some software does not use this env
variable, so you have to put them directly in CFLAGS.
