I have updated this port (Larn) to no longer depend on libcompat,
since libcompat doesn't build under Leopard. I have attached the diff
to the ticket:

I'd be grateful if someone could commit this for me. Also, I'd like to
go ahead and request commit privileges so I don't have to keep asking
on the list. I am the maintainer of the above port as well as 4 others.
