I take it you have coreutils+with_default_names installed? That would seem to be the problem. The only solution I could really do is to change cp
into /bin/cp with a patch.

I don't know how to do that so I am going to check out the source code from google and then wait for things to get better.


The easiest thing for you would simply be to uninstall coreutils +with_default_names, but I assume you installed that for a reason.
