Note that the documentation does say: "You should create one patch file for each file to be patched, though it is permissible to use existing patches you find that patch multiple files." http://guide.macports.org/#development.patches.source I think we decided, though the documentation doesn't reflect that yet, that one patch per issue is also permissible.
