Did the maintainer approve these update, or was there a ticket filed
to which the maintainer did not respond? We do have a policy of
allowing a port maintainer 72 hours to respond to port issues, and if
they do not do so, then you may commit updates, but should indicate
in your commit message that the maintainer timeout has occurred, or
that the maintainer has approved your commit, unless such things are
clear from the ticket whose number your commit message references.
