That is not an argument against this suggestion. It won't work, but
that's because setting a variant in the port1.0 context doesn't make
macports1.0 propagate that variant to the dependencies.
Ef, I had forgotten this.
The changes that I made tell the user exactly what he needs to do to
install the port without incurring a double build of boost.
It also fails to record a dependency on boost in the registry.
