You already have valgrind, which has always been better than ElectricFence
has ever been at diagnosing memory problems.

Is there really a need to carry ElectricFence in MacPorts?

Please note that I well understand ElectricFence's history, have used it many
times and it has saved my butt, and no disrespect whatsoever is inteded
to the efforts involved in patching ElectricFence to Just Work with
MacPorts.

But it *is* the 21st century and I most definitely am interested
in seeing Lion sandboxing, just like everyone else is waiting.
