As "man port" says, "Available select groups are installed as subdirectories of
${prefix}/etc/select/." So you can check that directory to see what things can
be selected. On my system at this time:
$ ls -1 /opt/local/etc/select/
gcc
maven
postgresql
python
qt4
$
But there may be others that I haven't installed yet.
