Now this is the kind of fix I expected to just be committed,
"nomaintaner" apart.

In that matter I don't have the answer to your question either, i.e. I
don't know of any real need for a 5.0 version of Lua.
I just added perry@macports to #32590 since he added the lua50
dependency, let's see.
