The gimp port is quite old and unmaintained. It's for the most recent
version of gimp 1, 1.2.5, but that was released a long time ago in
June 2003.
Is there a reason you're not using the gimp2 port? gimp2 features the
current stable version of gimp, 2.2.14, released just a week ago.
