cmake installed just fine for me on Mac OS X 10.4.9 on a PowerPC
PowerBook G4 with 1GB RAM and an Intel MacBook Pro with 2GB RAM:
$ sudo port install cmake

I see no open MacPorts tickets for cmake in Trac. However I do see
this NetBSD bug report:
