Hi Jochen,
IIRC Apple recommends -Os, not -O2.

When upgrading qwt I realizd that all qmake-generated makefiles use only
-Os compiler optimization. This is due to the following line in
/opt/local/share/qt4/mkspecs/macx-g++/qmake.conf:
QMAKE_CFLAGS_RELEASE = -Os
Wouldn't it be more useful on Standard Mac systems to change this to
-O2, or even just $CXXFLAGS from MacPorts?
Then other Qt-software using qmake could run faster, and typically space
is not an issue...
Greetings,
Jochen
