Looks pretty normal to me; the Gimp is a complex program, and it
depends on parts of Gnome which is also complex, so the full list
of dependencies is going to be quite long, and compiling all of
them will take time.
Yup. The gimp port brings in a *lot* of dependencies. Here's the
