I have the same problem and i launch an update before launching the
build. I have MacOS X Leopard 10.5.1 on a MacBook Intel.

There have been some changes committed to the libao port in the past
48 hours. Are you sure you have the latest version? Did you "sudo port
selfupdate" before trying to install? If not, do it now. Then, "sudo
port clean --work libao". Then try to install it again.
If it still doesn't work, please indicate your version of Mac OS X and
Xcode and your processor architecture. Thanks.
