Well, then you should use ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist

When you mention the CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH, where is this supposed to be located? There is no environmental variable with that name.

If you create one, there is one. See the g++ documentation for details.

I'm new to Mac, so I've been trying both fink and macports to see which one I like the most. Now that I have everything that I need working with macports, I don't see any reason to keep fink, right?
