They redid that tarball a couple of times, perhaps they've updated
it again?
#16691 was never fixed. They updated the distfile 6 months ago, as
you noted in the ticket, and the maintainer never updated the
portfile to track that change.
The stopgap committed in r40782 to use our distfiles mirror first
stopped working with MacPorts 1.7.0 which tries master_sites in ping
order instead of the order listed in the portfile.
Since the maintainer has not responded to the issue, someone else
should update the port. Don't forget to change dist_subdir to
something new, e.g. ${name}/${version}_${revision}. Unless the old
and new tarballs install identical software, the revision should
also be bumped.
In the meantime, is there any way I can install this, ignoring the
checksum?
