I noticed that my apache error log ''/opt/local/apache2/logs/
error_log'' now shows many errors like the following
Could not find platform independent libraries <prefix>
Could not find platform dependent libraries <exec_prefix>
Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to <prefix>[:<exec_prefix>]
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
It's kind of hard to figure out where these are coming from, and what
to do about them
