The only time I have ever received email notifications on tickets
that I have filed is when someone updates the ticket regardless of
whether or not it is fixed.

We can remove your email address from the Cc field of any ticket to
stop you from receiving emails on tickets you've been Cc'd on. I
don't think there's a way to not receive emails about tickets you've
filed, however.
