pod2man is part of the perl ports.
(g)sed is part of coreutils, as well as being in the base system.
gettext is part of gettext.
make should be gmake on OSX ("make" is BSD make which isn't fully compatible
with programs that expect GNU make) and should be part of gmake.
I think (g)install also comes from coreutils.

Don't do that; on anything more recent than Tiger, launchd sets up $DISPLAY
and you don't want to overwrite it.
