gimp-app is building a really old version of GIMP. I don't even think that gimp-app.sourceforge.net is maintained any longer.
TIP: use Macports to build gimp2 or gimp2-devel...then download the GIMPskel.zip from http://gimp-app.sourceforge.net and follow the instructions in the Text file to build your own App Bundle. Note: Edit the shell script gimpguts.sh and change the PREFIX to point to /opt/local, then use xcodebuild to build ScriptExecCocoa per BUILD.txt...run gimpguts.sh from Terminal....Abracadabra! -- Jeff On Fri, Nov 12, 2010 at 11:02 AM, dashmz <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > while performing an "sudo port upgrade outdated" I encounterd > following error with the gimp-app: > > "---> Building gimp-app > Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command failed (see > log for details) > Log for gimp-app is at: > > /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_aqua_gimp-app/main.log > Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1 > To report a bug, see <http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets>" > > This is (imho) the most important section from the log: > > ":info:build ** BUILD FAILED ** > :info:build > :info:build > :info:build The following build commands failed: > :info:build ScriptExec: > :info:build CompileC > > build/ScriptExec.build/Deployment/ScriptExec.build/Objects-normal/i386/main.o > > /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_aqua_gimp-app/work/ScriptExec/main.c > normal i386 c com.apple.compilers.gcc.4_2 > :info:build (1 failure) > :info:build > :info:build shell command "cd > > "/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_aqua_gimp-app/work/ScriptExec" > && /usr/bin/xcodebuild -alltargets -configuration Deployment build > OBJROOT=build/ SYMROOT=build/ MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.6 ARCHS=i386 > SDKROOT="" " returned error 1" > > > "sudo port clean gimp-app" didn't help me in this case and I have > unfortunately no idea how to deal with this issue. > > I'm running macports on an Intel Macbook with OS X 10.6.4. > If I'm missing some information just tell me. > > Regards, > Viktor Lynd > _______________________________________________ > macports-users mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.macosforge.org/mailman/listinfo.cgi/macports-users > undefined
