I believe that part is just editing the "specs" file, so it should actually be gcc-version-agnostic. Having to ship our own gc as part of the MacPorts base would still be annoying, though. (hmmm... or can you easily point gcc to a different specs file? Then we use Apple's gcc with a modified specs file, and then the base just makes sure said specs file is updated with respect to Apple's own (stat() when the port command is run; not like another one would be noticed). - -- brandon s. allbery [linux, solaris, freebsd, perl] [email protected] system administrator [openafs, heimdal, too many hats] [email protected] electrical and computer engineering, carnegie mellon university KF8NH -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.10 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk0EJZkACgkQIn7hlCsL25WCIgCfeFrnxQqlcVXkM6X/MjiKBwaA eIYAoJvGX4V8RPF8c4p7bItIoUlMCyX1 =nLzl -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ macports-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.macosforge.org/mailman/listinfo.cgi/macports-users
