Hey Folks, Okay. I've gone through the selfupdate and update outdated processes, but when I look at ports installed it seems I have TWO versions of Perl installed:
perl5 @5.12.3_0+perl5_12 (active) perl5.12 @5.12.3_1 (active) If I understand correctly I need to uninstall: perl5 @5.12.3_0+perl5_12 (active) However there are a number of dependents: ---> Unable to uninstall/deactivate perl5 @5.12.3_0+perl5_12, the following ports depend on it: ---> autoconf @2.68_1 ---> automake @1.11.1_0 ---> glib2 @2.28.1_0 ---> gtk-doc @1.16_0+python27 ---> help2man @1.38.4_0 ---> intltool @0.40.6_0 ---> p5-getopt-long @2.38_1 ---> p5-locale-gettext @1.05_4 ---> p5-pathtools @3.33_1 ---> p5-scalar-list-utils @1.23_1 ---> p5-xml-parser @2.40_1 What's the best way to deal with this? Should I uninstall these piecemeal and then uninstall Perl? Or should I uninstall Perl with the 'force' switch and then update outdated again? TIA. -- Best Regards, Chris _______________________________________________ macports-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.macosforge.org/mailman/listinfo.cgi/macports-users
